It is quite difficult to choose which shade I should pick because the product picture is so small, why make it so small? It would be great if you could make it bigger and as well make it so you can zoom in the different shades. Customer care; Thank you for your feedback. We apologize that the samples have not met your expectations. We will be sure to share your feedback with Paula and her team.Product Rating

Great product - but comes without a sponge

Dear PC-Team - that is really a great product. But no sponge/application device? For that price? A bit disappointing.Love You nevertheless,LindaProduct Rating
Customer Care: Thank you for your e-mail. The reason why there is no sponge enclosed is that Paula recommends to apply with a powder brush for the best results. We thank you for your feedback.

An Excellent Powder
Review by Alice

I have combination fair skin with pinkish undertones and I use Buff Beige, which smoothes out uneven skin tone and adds a subtle colour. I apply with a brush on top of sunscreen (Extra Care Non-Greasy Sunscreen SPF 45+) and it eliminates the shine. The powder is well pressed and so disperses evenly and lightly enough on the brush that you can't put too much on and can build it up if required. I do need to reapply the powder at intervals during the day but it lasts longer than others I've tried. L'Oreal True Match in Rose Ivory is my ultimate favourite but it doesn't last as long as this powder and contains no SPF, so is not suitable for daytime wear - making Healthy Finish my go-to makeup product. Highly recommended. (Posted on 20/07/2011)Product Rating -

I bought the neutral tone and I was surprised because is perfect for my skin tone! I use along the day for control T shine and reaply spf. I have a lot of another's brands powders but this is the unic that I like the color, really is invisible on my skin and the spf is an extra. (Posted on 04/05/2011)Product Rating -
Great powder, no shades for very fair skin though

I bought this powder ordering the lightest shade, thinking it would be suitable for my pale skin. Unfortunately it wasn't, which was a shame, since this is a great product, good for sensitive skin and it even has a good spf. I would like it so much if Paula and her team would consider the needs of a rapidly growing group of women around the world who are of naturally pale and very fair complexion, women like for example (to name a couple of celebrities, as an example) Nicole Kidman or Evan Rachel Wood, who would be so pleased to be able to use your line of make up cosmetics for the complexion, because most of them are quite awesome!Thank you!Product Rating

How to look lightly tanned without the drawbacks of it...

I have used the 'Healthy Tan' powder to avoid looking too white, pasty or shinny after applying some sunscreens. It's more or less my only makeup (with a little bit of blush) and the result is very good and natural. I use it during the day too, to prolong my sun protection (although given the small quantity of powder needed, I don't really know if you get a true SPF 15, but it's certainly a step in the good direction).Product Rating
Paula's Choice Customer service: A light application evens out skin tone, minimizes shine, and provides reliable broad-spectrum sun protection when used in conjunction with a foundation or moisturizer rated SPF 15 or greater (Posted on 19/07/2009)
Unless a significant layer of Healthy Finish Pressed Powder is applied, we recommend not relying on it (or any SPF-rated pressed powder) as your sole source of sun protection. It is best to use an SPF 15 powder in conjunction with a moisturizer or foundation with an SPF 15 or greater that contains UVA-protecting ingredients.
Healthy Finish Pressed Powder can be applied with a Powder Brush for use as a finishing powder. A standard pressed powder puff may be used as well by those who prefer a more opaque, slightly heavy application of powder.
For brush application, pick up some powder on the full end of the brush, knock off the excess, and brush it on using the same motion and direction as you used for your foundation. Keep everything going in the same direction (brushing down) to help maintain a smooth appearance.
We do not recommend using Healthy Finish Pressed Powder wet -- the sunscreen will likely be compromised and it has not been SPF-tested for wet application.
During the day, if you need to touch up your makeup or sunscreen, it is helpful to use oil-blotting papers (or, in a pinch, a tissue) to dab away excess oil from the skin before using Healthy Finish Pressed Powder SPF 15 again. With this method, you use less powder and can maintain a natural but finished look, while modestly "refreshing" your sunscreen.
Some makeup artists use a powder puff (particularly those who do television makeup) to "press" the powder into the skin to create a very flat, matte finish. This method can be used for extra sun protection if reapplying moisturizer or foundation with sunscreen is inconvenient.
Powder is a great "fix-it" tool to have at the ready for softening blush that is too strong or bright, blending the edges of eyeshadow or a too-dark crease color and softening an overzealous application of contour or bronzer.

Does Healthy Finish Pressed Powder SPF 15 work as my sole source of sun protection?
Not really, at least not unless you're willing to apply it in a thick layer. Since most people don't use powder in that manner (and for good reason!) Paula recommends that any pressed powder with sunscreen be used to enhance the sun protection you get from your daytime moisturizer or foundation with sunscreen. Healthy Finish Pressed Powder SPF 15 is great to brush on during the day to reduce shine and touch-up your sun protection!
Which type of foundation does Healthy Finish Pressed Powder SPF 15 work best with?
Although Healthy Finish Pressed Powder SPF 15 may be used with any foundation, it works best applied over liquid or cream foundations that have a smooth, non-powdery finish. If your foundation has a powdery finish, you may not need to apply a powder over it until later in the day, when it's time to touch-up your makeup.
