How often should I use a mask?
As often as needed. For very oily or very dry skins, this may mean every day. Experimentation will tell you the frequency of application that works best for your skin.

How long should I leave a Paula's Choice mask on?
The Skin Balancing Carbon Mask should be left on at least 5 minutes but can stay on longer (up to 20 minutes) if you have extremely oily skin. The Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask should also be left on at least 5 minutes but can stay on as long as overnight.

If I have dry skin, can I use the Skin Balancing Carbon Mask?
You can, but there is no need to remove dry skin's little natural oil. The mask's main benefit is for those with oily skin or oily areas. If you have combination skin (oily with dry areas) you can use this over the oily areas. Those with dry to very dry skin should consider the Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask.

How often should I use the Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask?
It can be used as often as needed; it depends on your skin type and personal preference. Those with normal skin can use this mask once per week or every other week as a "special treat" for their skin. Those with dry skin may want to use this mask more frequently, up to 2–3 times per week (including an overnight treatment one time per week). Someone with very dry, dehydrated skin should use this mask (or a very emollient moisturizer) once per day, morning or evening, until his or her dryness has improved. As a general rule, pay close attention to how your skin is behaving on a daily basis, and use Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask accordingly.

What is the difference between the Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask and Paula's moisturizers for normal to very dry skin? Can I use these moisturizers as moisturizing masks?
Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment mask has a thicker, creamier texture than Paula's Choice nighttime moisturizers. Paula's Choice Skin Recovery Moisturizer can also be used as moisturizing masks, but because Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask is meant to be used primarily as a mask (occasionally being left on the skin overnight if you prefer or if your skin needs it), it has a more slippery, emollient feel than these and most other moisturizers.
