I always use this as it's important to protect your lips as well as your face.
However, I think the packaging should be looked at. With every single one I've had (and that must be at least 10 by now), the tip eventually came off, so I kept having to re-insert it into the tube. I couldn't twist it up anymore after that and had to scrape the balm out with my nail. Good product, malfunctioning container.

Apply to lips at least 20 minutes before going outside. Reapply as needed; may be worn under lipstick or lip gloss.

For nighttime lip care, a Paula's Choice staff favorite is our Lip & Body Treatment Balm. This ultra-emollient product keeps lips smooth, soft, and protected from external causes of dryness such as indoor heat or low humidity. Lip & Body Treatment Balm may be used any time, but it should be followed with a product containing sunscreen if you'll be in daylight.

Yes. Moisturizing Lipscreen works great under lipsticks. It can be trickier to use with lip glosses, especially if they're sheer. However, we encourage you to experiment to see if you like the results. We do not recommend using Moisturizing Lipscreen SPF 15 beneath long-wearing lip paints, as lips needs to be clean and dry before brushing on lip paints.
