I have used Clinique superdefense as my daytime moisturizer for years, but I decided to give a try to Paula's products and with this one, it was love at first use. My skin is normal, although I have a little oil on the nose sometimes, but this product doesn't feel greasy at all. The texture is much better than superdefense, so is the price and the packaging. I loved this product! For an SPF 30 it was quite light on the skin. If you're going for a complete matte look, there is a bit of shine when using this product. But I still need to stock on this as il be using this everyday on the summer. (Posted on 31/05/2013)Product Rating -

I use it summer for the SPF 30. I like because it doesn't fill heavy on my skin and it has a great texture that spreads great through the skin. I use this as my sunscreen during the winter months when my skin gets drier. I use the Skin Balancing Daily Mattifying Lotion in the summer when my skins a bit oiler. The product is brilliant. It's lightly moisturising (if it's really cold and dry I use one of Paula's other moisturisers for dry skin) and sinks right into the skin. Doesn't cause breakouts like many others do. I had high hopes for this product but feel disappointed. My dry/dehydrated skin needed protection coming into the cold, winter months. After cleansing, toning and exfoliating (all Paula's Choice products), I would apply this moisturizer but my skin would feel tight after a few minutes. I persevered but after a couple of months had to change to Resist Daily SPF 25 and the tightness disappeared. I think this product would suit a normal to slightly oily skin type.Customer Care :Thank you for your review. You want to make sure and use an exfoliant daily to help remove any dead dry sun damaged skin cells from the skin in order for your products to absorb better and help your skin retain its own moisture. Since I am new to Paula's choice products I have a ordered samples rather than full products to get an idea of what I like. I have combination skin which can be quite oily but was keen to try something a bit more moisturising as it is currently quite cold in the UK. So I was quite surprised to find that it doesn't feel very moisturising. It is quite a thick cream and after I applied it, it just didn't feel that my skin was very moist! My usual moisturiser is balanced diet by origins which is described on the bottle as 'lightweight moisturiser' and I actually find that more moisturising! I don't hate it but this would not be something I would buy in full size. Customer care: Thank you for your feedback. Now that the weather is getting colder I wanted to try a more moisturising sunscreen. But as someone who suffers from breakouts I need to avoid physical sunscreens. Most sunscreens for drier skin seem to contain physical sunscreens, rather than avobenzone (a chemical sunscreen) which is in this product, so I was very interested to give it a go.Product Rating
A hit - no problems at all with breakouts, no greasy shine or white cast. My skin is happy and so am I!
Layers well with other products, sinks in and doesn't sting on application. Perfect til the weather warms up and I can go back to the mattiyfing SPF15 in this range (which is no more "mattifying" than this).

Surprised due to the nice texture and glow

I bought this sunscreen due to its good feedbacks on the american paula's web. First time I used it I agreed with the superb 'soufflé-like' texture mentioned. It felt very comfortable and something else I realized was that a little product goes a long way. Once it's absorbed it leaves an attractive transparent white finish (just a nice subtle glow). If your skin is normal to dry It won't make it look greasy but for an oily skin(my case) It makes it to bright a little bit so sometimes I alternate with the mattifying spf 15 version. However It seems to be perfect for the incoming colder months so I'll be buying it again. The only negative point would be that I think It costs too much due to the comparation with the spf 45 version. Should I reapply Moisture Boost SPF 30 during the day?
For casual wear, meaning less than four hours total time out in the sun, it is not necessary to reapply sunscreen as you will be protected all day. If you are perspiring or just spending a longer period of time outdoors, it should be reapplied.
How is Moisture Boost Daily Restoring Complex SPF 30 different from Skin Recovery Daily Moisturizing Lotion SPF 15?
Although both products provide reliable broad-spectrum sun protection, they do so using completely different active ingredients. Skin Recovery Daily Moisturizing Lotion SPF 15 contains mineral actives (titanium dioxide and zinc oxide) while Moisture Boost Daily Restoring Complex SPF 30 contains synthetic active ingredients such as avobenzone. Because of this, Skin Recovery Daily Moisturizing Lotion SPF 15 is preferred for sensitive or rosacea-affected skin.
