I have combination skin, I wear contact lenses and have been looking for a cream for my dry skin around eyes that would not irritate my eyes. This mask works perfectly! I never use it as mask for the entire face though, but every day, morning and evening I apply it as an eye cream and sometimes on my cheeks. Perfect! (Posted on 10/04/2013)
Can't live without this, absolutely ideal for dry/very dry sensitive skin

After reading the reviews I decided to invest in this product to help cope with harsh dry European winters, a challenge for someone like me used to all-year round tropical weather. This mask is absolutely gorgeous as an overnight treatment. It's an absolute must-have for me now :)

The only reason why I haven't given it 5 stars, which was a bit of a disappointment, is that I simply can't use it as an eye cream like advertised. My eyes sting and get all watery, forcing me to wash the cream off around my eyes. The skin recovery moisturizer and serum do work beautifully as an eye cream, completely irritant free, but it's a bit of a shame that this does not. But besides that it's an amazing product, highly recommended. (Posted on 21/07/2011)

I use this mask as an every day moisturiser as I have very dry skin. It is absolutely wonderful and feels much like I am giving my skin a cool refreshing drink every time I apply it. Frankly, I don't know what I'd do without it! (Posted on 04/07/2011)

An excellent overnight treatment, but also during cold and windy days... I use it even under make-up and often to treat my skin on a daily basis during the winter. I have to try it in summer too.... I'll let you know. Don't think twice, this product is a new addiction. (Posted on 04/05/2010)

Skin Recovery Mask is one of the best facial products I have ever used. I use it often as an overnight, intensive moisturizer, and in the morning my skin feels plump, soft, and so healthy. This is really a luxury treatment at a bargain price!

Use on cleansed skin. Apply a thick layer (a nickel-sized amount or more) over dry areas or the entire face as often as needed. Leave on for at least 20 minutes or as long as desired. Rinse with tepid to warm water and follow with the appropriate Paula's Choice exfoliant, moisturizer or specialty product. May be used around the eye area.
Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask can be used as an intensive overnight hydrating treatment. Simply apply a thick layer on cleansed skin, and rinse any excess product in the morning.
For those who prefer a separate moisturizer for use around the eyes, Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask makes an excellent eye cream. It is best used as an eye cream in the evening, when you aren't wearing makeup.
For unresponsive dry skin, try mixing equal parts Skin Recovery Hydrating Mask with nonirritating plant oil such as olive, almond, sesame, apricot, jojoba, or evening primrose oils. Leave the mixture on skin for 30 minutes or longer then gently remove the excess with a warm washcloth.
For a relaxing, spa-like treatment, try using Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask slightly warmed. Simply submerge the tube in a bowl of warm water and remove after five to ten minutes. The mask should feel lukewarm to the touch. If it feels any warmer than that, allow it to cool for a few minutes before applying it to the skin.
If you plan on spending several hours outside during cold weather months, apply a base of Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask before your sunscreen or foundation with sunscreen. The mask will help protect your skin from windburn and help prevent moisture loss.
Before you board your next flight, apply a generous amount of Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask under your makeup. The extra moisture boost will help alleviate the effects of hours spent sitting in a pressurized airplane cabin, where the recirculated air is notoriously drying for skin.
Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask can be used safely by those with rosacea or other skin conditions such as psoriasis or eczema.

I thought Paula didn't like masks of any kind. Did Paula change her mind?

It is true that Paula is not a big fan of most masks but mostly because so many contain irritating ingredients or are poorly formulated. Paula decided to formulate a superior moisturizing mask that not only softens the skin but also soothes and boosts skin's moisture reserves. The emollients, water-binding agents, anti-irritants, and antioxidants are an essential element of keeping normal to very dry skin healthy and radiant.

For best results, how often do I need to use Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask?

Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask can be used as often as needed. How often you use it depends on your skin type and personal preference. Those with normal skin can use this mask once per week. Those with dry skin will enjoy using this mask more frequently, preferably 2–3 times per week, with one of those times being enjoyed as an overnight treatment. Someone with very dry, dehydrated skin should use this mask (or a very emollient moisturizer) once per day, morning or evening, until his or her dryness has improved.

What is the difference between Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask and Paula's moisturizers for normal to very dry skin? Couldn't I just use Skin Recovery Moisturizer as a moisturizing mask?

Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment mask has a thicker, creamier texture than Paula's Choice nighttime moisturizers. Since it is meant to be used as a mask (occasionally being left on the skin overnight if the customer prefers or their skin needs this), it has a more slippery, emollient feel than most moisturizers.
